I have a phone interview with Accenture's Gregg. The interview was arranged by James Duplantis from Isymmetry. James said this job can pay up to $90/hr. So I was a little bit nervous for this interview. James told me Accenture Manager, Adam Mickleson, would call me. But it was Gregg, a developer, did the interview. The interview is mostly about my experience. The interview lasted for about half an hour. At the end of the interview, as suggested by James, I asked Gregg if he had any concern about my working for Accenture. He said no and said my experience mostly fit with what they need. Hope I get this job.

I am not sure if I should submit my tax return today. I want to have more time to check the return. But I also do not want to wait until the last minute to submit. Tomorrow is April 13, it doesn't seem to be a good day to do anything. However, I may have to do it.
This morning, I went to library to check out some books related to "Rachel Carson" for Audrey's school project.
This afternoon, I took the kids to school and attend a seminar on how to communicate with kids. One thing I heard is that never lost authority or confidence in front to kids. I agree with that. Sometimes, because I don't want to argue with Emily, I am losing the authority to the kids. Not sure if this is good for the kids and the family

Today, Emily gave me a print out of stock gain/lost from Etrade. There are about 30 transaction. One quarter of them do not have the purchase date and price. Some of them like CSCO, JAVA. She said she could not find those numbers. If I could not fill in those number, I should give them to an accountant. She did not understand that accountant would still ask these data. It is for the best insterest of tax payer to find out those information so that the capital gain would be less. Maybe next year, I will let her to find an accountant to do the tax return. Or I will do my own return and she will find an accountant to do her return, so she will know how much tax she needs to pay. One thing I am not sure if you are married and file separately, if one spouse gets in trouble, for example, without paying tax, does another spouse would take responsible for that? If one spouse doesn't need to be responsible for the mistake of another spouse, it may be better to file separately. It may be more complicated to file. I am not sure.
I started to drink gin which has 46% alcohol. So far it is good.
Yesterday, I went to Teang's house to talk to Dirk about the website for his company. It turns out he already has one he just hasn't publish it. He needs some helpn on css. I am probably not the right person to help him.

I did a demo on JBPM. The demo is simple. We had good discussion.
Austin was using computer tonight. I was surprised to know what he knew Internet Explorer and search, using Google to do search. One search he did was to search Unicorn. He asked me how to spell Unicorn.
Before slept, he asked me to read a story. To help him to learn Chinese. I decided to read him a Chinese story, "Peng Gu opened the Sky". Unfortunately, he fell asleep before I could finish the story.

I watched "American Gangster" last night by Denzel Washington and Russel Crowe. It is an interesting movie based on true story. One thing I amazed that it was so difficult to find out the source of the drug even though the drug was sold in every corner of New York. I don't know why they cannot just trace seller to get to the top. Also I don't understand how could Frank Lucas kill someone in daylight with many people watching and got away with it.
Audrey's school is closed today. So Emily was staying home and she also took Austin to see the doctor for Austin's cough. The doctor did not find anything. The doctor recommended to take Benerzil before sleep.
Also I read news about China Olympic relay was interrupted in Paris. I don't know why people would use this peaceful event to promote personal interest.

I played racquetball with Eric this morning. I easily won two games. The two matches I played with Eric these two weeks, I both won. I am not sure if this is due to the Tax season which has got to Eric. After the game, I asked Eric some question about "single defined benefit plan" I read from Chinese news paper. Eric said the plan is not easy to set up. And no one had asked him to set one up yet. After I came home, Emily, with Kids' help cooked some buns. They were quite good.

Audrey went to a piano concerto competition. Finally, she got the first place after so many trials. Also Austin got 98 in his Chinese min term exam and is second in his class. This is not easy, considering the first class, he did not understand a work of what the teacher said. Emily and I had put lots of work to help him

Today, Jeremy asked David, Isaac Chuck and me to give an estimate on LOE for FAMS database consolidation. Chuck was too busy. So David, Isaac and me discussed about the LOE. We came up 10 weeks. I think because Chuck was not there, we had some unanswered questions on the plan. So the estimate was very rough.
Bread machine was tried again tonight. It seems making reasonable good bread.
I checked the taxcut calculation on my new car. My original price is $16500. 53% business usage. Somehow the basic is only $716. Not sure what is the reason for it. I went to H&R block website and did a live chat. I was told to call B&R office for this kind of problem.

I decided to start writing my blog today. I just want to capture what I did and learned in a day or week so that I can come back one year or couple years later and remember what I did these days.
FEMA's Indiviual Assistant's web application has a new requirement of changing ISSAC interface with Choicepoint. Engineer from IA said they want to this feature by the end of this month. So I decided to write code to support this feature this afternoon. Today, Issac Lee was out talking to doctor about his MRI testing result. Potentially that testing result will affect his and my work on ISAAC. Also because he was out today, so I did not need to spend lots of time to help him and can concentrate on my work.
This evening, I continue to read "Rape of Nanjing" by Irish Chang. I read how Japanese army had only 20,000 soldiers. Inside Nanjing, there were more than 50,000 Chinese army. Chinese army did not put up a fight and surrendered to Japanese. When Japanese commander saw that, he lost his respect to these Chinese soldiers. They put these Chinese soldiers into groups of around 100 people and took them to a place and kill them group by group. I felt sad and shame of these Chinese soldiers.
Emily bought a bread machine. She got that two days ago. She opened it yesterday and found out missing some ingredients. So I went to Giant to buy some dry milk and break flour. But she was too busy to make them last night. So tonight is the first night the bread machine is used. The bread was done at about 11 PM. The kids usually sleeps at around 10 PM. Tonight, they would wait until the bread was done. The bread was not that good.
Emily said something about Audrey's piano. Audrey then played the piano crying.
